Passion Pro Summary
Hero MotoCorp has launched the 2020 Passion Pro in India in two variants - drum and disc. The former is priced at Rs 64,990 while the latter retails at Rs 67,190 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The drum brake commands a premium of Rs 7,890 over the standard BS4 Hero Passion Pro.
The 2020 Passion Pro is available in four new paint schemes - yellow and black for the drum variant and red and black for the disc version. Deliveries are expected to commence shortly.
The 2020 Passion Pro features a sharper front fascia, a sleeker fuel tank with new tank extensions and dual-tone paint schemes. Aside from this, the bike gets a revised analogue-digital instrument console with real time fuel-efficiency and mileage indicator. Other notable features like i3S idle start-stop and IBS (Integrated Braking System) will come as standard.
Its 110cc engine makes 9.1PS (0.41PS less) at 7500rpm and 9.79Nm (0.79Nm more) at 5500rpm mated to a 5-speed gearbox -- that's 22 per cent more torque than before. The motor is also claimed to be 5 per cent more fuel efficient than the BS4 model.
The 2020 Passion Pro uses a new diamond frame with increased suspension travel of 120mm at both ends. The ground clearance has been increased to 180mm -- 15mm more than the outgoing model.
The Passion Pro 2020 goes up against Bajaj’s Discover 110, Honda CD 110 Dream, the Honda Livo and the TVS Victor.

Passion Pro Pros and Cons
- Things We Like
- Things We Don't Like
- Stylish Body Design Reliable and smooth 100cc engine Great build quality
- Should have more safety features Lack of a purely digital instrument cluster Fuel economy could be better as per a 100cc commuter
Passion Pro Expert Review
Overview
The Hero Passion Pro is targeted at the commuter who wants a no-frills, reliable and economical commuter.
The bike receives subtle cosmetic enhancements and a new LED tail lamp. Features include a digital analogue instrument console which displays the odometer, tripmeters, side stand indicator and fuel level.
The Passion Pro gets the 109.1cc air-cooled single that does duty on the Splendor iSmart, making 9.4PS and 9.0Nm of torque. Performance is up and fuel efficiency should be better as well, thanks to Hero’s iSmart start-stop technology.
The new double cradle frame claims to be rigid and with minimal flex. This reportedly improves the bike’s stability and road manners. Braking is courtesy drum brakes on both wheels, with a 240mm front disc brake as an option.
Design
Though the redesign looks subtle on the surface, the entire bike has been cosmetically tweaked. The headlamp, fuel tank, side panels, tailpiece and LED tail lamp are new. The new graphics gel well with the blacked out engine, exhaust and alloy wheels. The red rear dampers add a touch of sportiness. In terms of features, the Passion Pro gets a digital analogue instrument console that shows info like the odometer, tripmeters, side stand indicator and fuel level.
Engine, Mileage & Performance
The previous Passion Pro used Hero’s tried and tested 97.2 single-cylinder motor. The new 109.1cc air-cooled single, borrowed from the Hero iSmart 110, makes 9.4PS at 7500rpm and 9.0Nm of torque at 5500rpm. It reportedly offers good mid range torque and is quite tractable. Power is up by 1PS while torque has increased by 0.95Nm. With Hero’s i3S technology, the Passion Pro is expected to be more fuel efficient. The gearbox is a 4-speed unit.
Handling & Ride Quality
The Passion Pro sports 130mm drum brakes on both wheels, but a 240mm front disc is optional. New for 2018 is a double-downtube cradle chassis in place of the single downtube setup. The new frame is reportedly more rigid and has minimal flex. This improves stability and handling by quite a margin. The suspension has been tuned to be firmer, though ride quality isn’t harsh. While commuter motorcycles aren’t exactly known for their handling, the new Passion Pro promises to impress with its road manners.
Features
In terms of safety, the Passion Pro gets Always Headlamp On feature (AHO) and LED tail lamps. It also gets an optional 240mm front disc that should make braking a quicker and safer affair.
