2014 Hero Extreme launched at 78,800 on-road

Unveiled in October 2013, The all new Hero Xtreme has been launched at an starting price of Rs. 78,800 (on-road, Delhi for front disc brake variant), while the another variant with both the front and rear disc brakes costs Rs. 82,000.
The company has also updated its product portfolio on its website, which clearly indicates that the bike has been launched in India. We have also confirmed the report from many Hero MotoCorp dealers, some of them confirmed that the bookings are on and deliveries will be start in 2-3 days, while some of the dealer has already started dispatching bikes.
2014 Hero Extreme looks quite different than the previous one with some major cosmetic updates including its new headlamp with bikini fairing and highbrow position lights. Rear body panels have also been tweaked to suit the new tail lamp design and now it comes with seperate turn indicators instead of the integrated ones. New dual finish sporty muffler looks better and the bike gets a wider rear tyre for better traction and stability.
New Hero MotoCorp Xtreme gets a space age designed instrument console with a perfect blend of digital and analog gauges. Some highly advanced features are added to the bike including underseat mobile charger and engine immobilizer to keep it above other offerings in the segment.
Apart from these changes, the bike uses the same 149.2cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder engine with 5-speed gearbox. Using the conventional carburetted fuel system with Advanced Microprocessor Ignition (AMI) System, it is capable to churn out 14.2bhp of maximum power at 8,500rpm along with a peak torque of 12.8Nm at 6,500. The bike is available in 4 amazing colour options- Blue, Orange, Red and Silver.
