2014 Yamaha FZ-S Version 2.0 spotted testing

The Indian wing of the Japanese auto major, Yamaha Motor India, showcased an amazing, new FZ-S concept at the Indian Auto Expo 2014 recently. And now, a similar motorcycle has been spotted testing near the Greater Noida Expressway. An Overdrive reader Madhav Abeer seen the bike and captures it in images, shown here.
Using the same platform, Yamaha FZ-S Version 2.0 gets some major cosmetic changes. The new model gets bigger front cowls with air scoops and a tweaked headlamp and visor. It has a new split seat with revised rear panels and grab rails. Tail lamp and rear mudguard are also looks tweaked with a new rear tyre hugger, which was not seen on the concept at the Auto Expo. The new exhaust muffler with chrome designing looks sportier than the existing one.
The concept model at the Auto Expo has a fully digital console, while the new Yamaha FZ-S Version 2.0 is expected to sport the same instrument console with minor updates. The bike will also gets more attractive graphics in new colours. Apart from these major cosmetic updates, the bike is expected to receive technical updates as well. The updated engine is expected to churn out some extra power with an enhanced torque to improve the acceleration of Version 2.0.
Yamaha will also introduce the updated versions of its other 150cc models including FZ, YZF-R15 and SZ series. The new version seems a result of the technically and cosmetically upgraded products unveiled by some other manufacturers recently like, Hero Xtreme Sport and Suzuki Gixxer.
