The 2014 model of Yamaha FZ-S, expected to be called FZ-S Version 2.0 has been spotted testing again in India. Some clearer spy shots of the bike have been sighted, which tells more details about the bike.
As we reported earlier that the bike will get both cosmetic and technical upgrades and the new model might deliver 15bhp of power using the same 153cc, air-cooled mill. The bike gets a more muscular look with its new tank flaps having air intake scoops, tweaked headlamp and revised rear cowls.
Yamaha FZ-S Version 2.0 also gets some sporty elements like its new split seat, chrome garnished exhaust muffler and new rear fender. It will continue to boast front forks, rear mono-shock, alloy wheels, tyres, disc brake and handlebar which comes in the current version, while the fully digital instrument console will be replaced by a big single LCD screen.
The bike is expected to be launched by the end of 2014 and will be priced slightly higher than the existing model. The company might be bringing the updated version to compete with the upcoming rivals like Bajaj Pulsar NS150 and Suzuki Gixxer that will be also introduced as 150cc naked sport machines in the market.
