From production scooters to concept bikes and scooters – Here’s all that Ampere displayed
The Auto Expo 2025 has started with a bang. Many manufacturers have displayed and unveiled new bikes, scooters and even concepts. Ampere EV has also showcased its new scooters – Magnus Neo, Nexus Exec and Nexus S Turismo. The EV maker has also unveiled its new concept bike Xyber and a new concept electric scooter Xpress at the expo.
Here’s a closer look at all the Ampere EVs which have been showcased at Auto Expo 2025:
Ampere Magnus Neo
Starting at Rs 79,999 (ex-showroom), the 2025 Ampere Magnus Neo electric scooter comes with a minimalist and stylish design with modern features. The Magnus Neo is equipped with an electric motor and a 2.3kWh LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery pack. It delivers over a 100km claimed range and has a claimed top speed of 65kmph, which should be sufficient for everyday city rides.
The electric scooter is equipped with an LCD instrument console with smartphone connectivity available as an optional feature. The e-scooter also gets three ride modes and a reverse mode. For added convenience, it has a USB charging port and a cubby hole, both at the front apron, along with spacious underseat storage. For customers' peace of mind, it comes with a 5-year, 75,000-kilometer warranty too.
Ampere Nexus New Variants: Exec & S Tourismo
The Ampere Nexus Exec and S Tourismo are the latest variants of the Ampere Nexus. While both the scooters have the same design, the Nexus Exec sports a more subtle chocolate brown colour scheme along with beige/tan highlights all around. The Ampere Nexus S Tourismo features a bright red colour scheme with sporty white graphics. This new paint scheme makes the scooter pop out among the crowd.
Both Nexus Exec and S Tourismo get the same powertrains. They get a more powerful 5kW electric motor instead of the 4kW motor on the standard Nexus. But gets the same claimed top speed of 93kmph.
Both the new Nexus variants come with the same 3kWh battery pack and have a claimed real-world range of about 100-110km. The electric scooters can charge from 0 to 100 percent in just 3.5 hours. Additionally, they also feature a bigger 7-inch touchscreen TFT-instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity, while the standard Nexus gets a 6.8-inch LCD touchscreen console.
Ampere Xyber Concept
Ampere’s first-ever electric bike concept - the Xyber - is a naked streetfighter with futuristic design. It has an aggressive-looking headlight. The LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) and tail light are inspired by ‘Artic Tem’ wings design.
The concept bike is equipped with a 10kW electric motor, which is claimed to deliver a claimed top speed of 100kmph. It is powered by a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack that provides a claimed real-world range of 200km per charge. It is claimed to be compatible with both AC and DC fast charging, for added convenience and ease of charging it anywhere.
The Ampere Xyber Concept is equipped with a slim rectangular LCD instrument console with smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth. It comes with an inverted fork and a mono-shock. The electric bike concept is fitted with 17-inch alloy wheels and disc brakes on both ends, with ABS (anti-lock braking system).
Ampere Xpress Concept
The Ampere Xpress Concept is another concept developed by the EV maker. The Xpress is essentially a delivery scooter concept made for quick commerce including last-minute grocery, food and other delivery solutions, and even gets a hot box to carry food.
The Xpress comes with a rugged design and an elegant dual-tone red and black paint scheme. The electric scooter also gets a round LED headlight at the front. It has a foldable pillion seat that becomes a rider backrest when you mount the hot box at the back
