KTM- the Austrian auto giant is leading the European two wheeler market, especially due to great response for its Duke triplets, in the entry-level-performance segment. Recently, the company launched an RC (supersport style) version of these motorcycles, which are also getting similar response. Now, the next big thing could be a major update in the Duke series.
An international website Motorcyclenews has posted two spy pictures of the camouflaged test mules of the KTM Dukes. However, we are not sure that these are the 2015 KTM Dukes or their specific versions for different purpose. If they are, the bike in the second picture might be one of the 125 Duke or 200 Duke. However, we strongly believe that the first picture belongs to the 390 version.
You can notice some minor updates in the front body work of both the bikes, while the major changes at the rear. The rear license plate is looking re-positioned along with the turn indicators. However, the most noticeable update is the side-slung exhaust on the 390 Duke, which might have been introduced to lower the noise level and further reduce emissions.
As seen in the pictures, the highlighted features of these bikes appear to be similar like its aggressive headlamp, orange painted naked space frame, spider web alloys, brakes and more. We can't say anything about the performance of the updated machines, as they are already performing up to the mark. KTM Dukes are the machines for enthusiasts, thus playing with its make will be a challenge for the company and they have to do it at their best.
