KTM has launched the updated 200 Duke in India at Rs 2,03,412 (ex-showroom Delhi). It comes at a premium of Rs 4,462 over its previous ex-showroom price of Rs 1,98,950. The Duke 200 now features a new TFT console, new features, and a new colour option.
KTM Duke 200: What’s New?
The updated 2024 KTM 200 Duke now comes with a new 5-inch TFT console, which is borrowed from the bigger KTM 390 Duke. The new TFT also includes new features, including turn-by-turn navigation and display modes. It also gets the already existing features like call and SMS alerts, headset pairing and a switchable supermoto ABS mode.
The KTM Duke 200 also gets the same left-hand-side switchgear as the Gen 3 390 Duke to navigate through the new instrument console. The bike also gets a new Metallic Silver colour scheme, along with the existing Electric Orange and Dark Galvano colours.
What Remains Unchanged?
The engine and underpinnings of the bike have remained unchanged. The Duke 200 is powered by the same 199.5cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine which produces 25PS at 10,000rpm and 19.3Nm at 8,000rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, but doesn’t have a slip-and-assist clutch.
The 2024 KTM Duke 200 is suspended on a 43mm WP Apex fork and a 10-step preload-adjustable monoshock. For braking, it uses a 300mm disc at the front and a 230mm brake at the rear, with dual-channel ABS. It also has Supermoto ABS mode, which allows you to turn off the rear ABS to slide the bike around while off-roading.
The 200cc KTM comes equipped with 17-inch wheels on both ends, which are wrapped with 110-section front and 150-section rear tubeless tyres. The Duke 200 features a 13.4-litre fuel tank. It has a ground clearance of 155mm, seat height of 822mm and a kerb weight of 159kg.
The KTM 200 Duke competes against other 200-210cc bikes including the Bajaj Pulsar NS200, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and Hero Karizma XMR.
BikeDekho Says
This was a much-needed upgrade for the KTM 200 Duke as even the more affordable rivals are now pretty feature-loaded. The premium is worth considering the features that it now gets.
The addition of new features like turn-by-turn navigation will provide more convenience to the customers to navigate through unknown streets or areas with ease. With the new colour option, the bike offers three colours for the customers to choose from.
