Ather Rizta Electric Scooter Launch Tomorrow: Check Expected Price, Range, Features And More
New spy shots have surfaced online and they show the scooter without camouflage
(Update: Ather Energy has launched the all-new Ather Rizta family scooter. Check out the details in our launch story here.)
The upcoming Ather Rizta is a family-oriented electric scooter from Ather Energy. It is set to be launched on Ather Community Day (ACDC 2024) which is April 6, 2024 and pre-bookings for the scooter had begun for an amount of Rs 999. Leading up to this, Ather has dropped quite a lot of teasers showcasing various aspects of the Rizta and now we have also seen some new spy shots that surfaced online which shows the scooter without the camouflage. Here’s everything we know about the e-scooter so far:
Ather Rizta Expected Price And Rivals
The Ather Rizta is set to come at a price of Rs 1.3 lakh ex-showroom including Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme (EMPS) subsidy. It will compete with other electric scooters in the market such as the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Ola S1 Air and Hero Vida V1 Pro.
Ather Rizta Design
The Rizta gets a boxy-design that is typical of family scooters. The scooter overall appears large and gets apron mounted indicators and headlight. The floorboard looks quite spacious, the seat is really large (in fact, claimed to be the largest in segment) and comes with a chunky looking pillion grabrail. The seat has been the main focus of a lot of the teasers dropped by Ather and one of them even featured former WWE heavyweight champion, The Great Khali.
The new spy shots of the scooter have also revealed a bit more information, we can see two colour schemes, one white and one dual tone white and black but Ather will likely offer more. In the dual tone white and black colour scheme the apron is painted in white while the rest of the scooter’s body is black, additionally the seat also features dual tone shade, with the rider’s side being dark grey while the pillion side is black.
The Rizta logo on the body gets a vertical stripe on the top similar to what Ather has given on the Ather 450S. Other design bits include a cushioned pillion backrest which compliments the chunky looking pillion grabrail. The backrest is likely to be sold as an additional accessory.
Ather Rizta Expected Features
Another highlight of the Ather Rizta will be the big seat's massive underseat storage which is large enough to fit two half-faced helmets, the underseat storage also includes a small compartment at the front to store documents and tools.
The instrument console appears to be the same 7-inch TFT unit as seen on the Ather 450X and the Rizta also features a joystick on the left switch gear, to navigate the console on the go.
The console will have smartphone connectivity via bluetooth and have features such as turn-by-turn navigation, call/sms alerts and more. With the Ather Stack 6 over the air update (OTA) the scooter will likely get a lot of features that are present in the 450X. Additionally, the scooter will also include a USB charging port.
Ather Rizta Expected Range And Other Details
We believe the Ather Rizta will match the Ather 450S in terms of battery capacity and range, so it will likely come with a 2.9kWh battery pack that offers a certified range of 115km in the 450S. The battery pack was recently teased by Ather, and in the teaser it was dropped from a height of 40 feet!

The e-scooter will also likely come with a single-channel ABS.
