The Ather Rizta is the first family-focused electric scooter from the Bengaluru-based manufacturer. Starting at Rs 1,09,999 (ex-showroom Delhi), it comes in three variants: Rizta S and base Rizta Z get a 2.9kWh battery pack, whereas the top Rizta Z has a 3.7kWh battery pack.
Driven by a 4.3kW motor, the Ather Rizta gets a claimed top speed of 80kmph. It is available with two battery pack options, the 2.9kWh battery pack has a claimed IDC (Indian Driving Conditions) range of 123km, and a bigger 3.7kWh battery pack delivers a claimed IDC range of 160km.
The Rizta gets two riding modes: Smart Eco and Zip. The S variant gets a 7-inch LCD screen and the Z variants feature a 7-inch TFT instrument console. The e-scooter gets the same features as the Ather 450X including hill-hold assist, reverse mode, smart eco mode, and fall safe (which turns off the motor when the scooter falls). The Rizta has 'Magic twist' and regen braking functions as well. Other features include a multi-purpose charging port to charge different devices, ‘AtherSkidControl’ which is basically a traction control feature, an Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) and a generous 34-litre boot space, which combined with a 22-litre frunk that offers a 56-litre storage capacity.
The Rizta competes with other family-focused electric scooters like the TVS iQube, Ola S1 Air, Ampere Nexus, Hero Vida V1 Pro and Bajaj Chetak.
