Auto Expo 2016 to Witness the Unveiling of 80 New Vehicles

The 13th edition of Auto Expo is expected to be bigger and better than its previous episodes. This year more than 80 new vehicles will be unveiled and 1500 suppliers from 20 countries will be showcasing their latest technologies. The component show will take place from 4-7 February at Pragati Maidan and the Motor Show to be held from 5-9 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida.
The component show will be spread over 80,000 sq mts in 18 halls and will see the participation of 1,500 companies including 50 new entrants and 900 Indian companies. There will be seven International pavilions from China, Canada, Germany, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea and U.K will showcase an array of components. To encourage innovation driven mind, there will be a contest called, “Passion for Innovation” for Engineering Students.
Coming to the Motor Show, the exhibition space has been increased to 73,000 sq mts from 69,000 sq mts in the previous edition. Now, six large halls have been constructed with an additional carpet area having an adequate power supply and air conditioning. In the previous edition, only 8 permanent halls were there as a result, the remaining display were curated at temporary hangers.

Addressing the gathering Mr. Arvind Balaji, President, ACMA, remarked, “The auto component industry is making a conscious effort to graduate from Build to Print to the creation of Intellectual Property. In line with ACMA’s theme for this year - Make Quality & Technology in India, a unique Innovation Pavilion will be set up at the Auto Expo 2016 - Components which will have on display Auto Components designed, developed and validated in India. The primary objective of this pavilion is to showcase the product development prowess of the component sector as also help deepen the automotive value chain in the country. Several new components are also expected to be launched at the individual company stalls at the Auto Expo.”
