Bajaj Boxer BM100 Seen Being Tested

Bajaj seems to be scheming yet another launch. Bajaj Boxer BM100. It was just a few months back that Bajaj had launched Boxer in 150 cc segment, Bajaj Boxer 150, and now this small, entry level product. This new bike has, as of now, been seen being road tested for rides near Pune. And as per the looks, it is very clear that this model will be a smaller version, and probably cheaper too, of Boxer 150. As clear by the name of the commute, it will be a 100 cc bike in the commuter segment, coming with a DTSi single spark plug engine installed, which it borrows from Bajaj Discover 100. This small bike is expected to pump out a peak energy of 7.6 BHP and 7.5 Nm of maximum torque. As from the scoop, what has come out clear is that the bike does not win any visor at the front, unlike Bajaj Boxer 150, from which the new bike has been inspired from. Like all other low cost bikes that Bajaj produces, Boxer BM100 also gets “Spring in Spring” (SnS) suspension, a technology that holds a special place with Bajaj.

Other than these features, what is noticeable is carrier and foot rests on both the sides, which is yet again typical of low cost Bajaj bikes. As for calling it a rumor, there are high expectation that this new small two wheeler from Bajaj will be launched by the auto giant soon. This same model is already selling good in international market. Keeping the expectations on a side, if the small bike does see sunlight in India, market analysts assume it to be placed at the same level or under Bajaj Platina. Thus, the conclusion drawn is easy; the small bike would be costing less than Rs. 40,000, making it one of the cheap bikes in India. And since, Bajaj Boxer BM100 is younger sibling to Bajaj Boxer 150, it is expected to be inherent of the older version. The 150 cc version is considered as a fuel efficient bike, to be quite powerful yet rugged, which was brought out to be run essentially in the rural area..
