The 2024 model gets a colour TFT instrument console along with a greater range and a higher top speed
The Bajaj Chetak lineup has been in the middle of a refresh for a month now. It started with the launch of the 2024 Chetak Urbane variant and now the manufacturer has launched 2024 version of the Premium variant. It is available in two sub-variants: Standard and TecPac. The Standard version is priced at Rs 1,35,463 while the TecPac version gets a price tag of Rs 1,44,463 (both prices ex-showroom Bengaluru including FAME 2 subsidy).
The Bajaj Chetak Premium now comes with a 3.2kWh capacity battery pack and a claimed range of 126km and top speed of 73kmph. The standard version gets a single ride mode called Eco while the TecPac version gets an additional Sport mode. The standout change in the 2024 is the 5-inch TFT instrument console that comes with turn-by-turn navigation, music controls and call and SMS alerts. The colour TFT instrument console is only available in the TecPac version though, as the Standard version gets a monochrome TFT instrument console without turn-by-turn navigation and other connectivity features.
Other features exclusive to the TecPac version include hill hold assist and sequential blinkers while reverse mode is available in both versions. The 2024 Bajaj Chetak Premium gets blacked-out treatment in the headlight and indicator surrounds and the alloy wheels to name a few places instead of the chrome treatment in the previous version. It comes with a 650W onboard charger that takes 4 hours and 30 minutes to fully charge the scooter and also an 800W charger that gives you a range of 15.6km in just 30 minutes. Three colour options are available for the 2024 model: Brooklyn Black, Indigo Blue and Hazelnut. Its rivals are the Ola S1 Pro Gen 2, Simple One and the Ather 450X.
