Gets combined braking, expected to launch next month
- The addition of CBS might push the bike’s price to a little over its current ex-showroom price of Rs 52,326.
- It also gets a new heat shield running down from the exhaust header.
- Aside from this the bike remains unchanged.
The Bajaj Discover 110 CBS has been spied testing in Pune and could be launched as soon as March next month. Aside from the inclusion of CBS (Combined Braking System), the 2019 Discover 110 also gets a new heat shield which runs down from the exhaust header pipe. While the current model is priced at Rs 52,326, the aforementioned updates might push the price of the bike a smidge over 53,500.
Aside from these minor additions, the 2019 Discover 110 remains unchanged. The update comes in the light of the recent government safety norms. As per the new regulations which will come into effect from 1st April, it’s mandatory for all two new two-wheelers below 125cc to feature the safety net of CBS.
Powering the bike is a 115.45cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled mill that makes 8.60PS at 7000rpm and a peak torque of 9.81Nm at 5000rpm. The motor comes mated to a 5-speed transmission. Fuel tank capacity stands at 8 litres. Pair this with a company-claimed fuel efficiency of 82.4kmpl and you can stay on the road for eternity.
The Bajaj Discover 110 CBS uses telescopic forks and a twin Nitrox shock setup at the rear. In terms of braking duties, the bike gets a 200mm disc brake up front and a 120mm drum unit at the back. Once launched the Bajaj Discover 110 CBS will compete against the Hero Splendor iSmart 110 (Rs 55,850) and the Honda Livo price at Rs 59,950 (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).
