The bike is powered by a 125cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 9.5PS and 9.7Nm and can switch between petrol and CNG modes on the go. The performance is equivalent to that of a 110cc bike. The Freedom 125 gets a 2kg CNG tank, which can hold 12.5-litres of CNG, it also gets a 2-litre petrol tank as a backup.

Bajaj claims that the bike is able to give a range of around 200km with the CNG and an additional 130km with its 2-litre petrol tank. We had done an analysis on the bike’s mileage and running costs recently to see if the claims hold.

That said, concerns about the bike’s safety still stand and Bajaj has done quite a bit of extensive testing on the bike to prove that it is safe. Here’s everything you need to know.
