A special DTS-i Edition of the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS DTS-i Edition has been introduced in Cambodia with a new livery, highlighting the popular DTS-i technology of Bajaj Auto. The bike is looking much sportier in the new skin, which combines White, Black and Red colour with a different graphic pattern showing DTS-i on the fuel tank cover.
According to Bajaj, DTS-i stands for Digital Twin Spark ignition, that means using 2 digitally controlled spark plugs in a single chamber for better combustion. But the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS features a Triple Spark ignition system with three different spark plugs working in the same chamber. So, what the DTS-i Triple Spark stands for, which have been mentioned on the engine of this special edition Pulsar?
It seems that they are using the Similar term to represent the Digital Triple Spark ignition technology, and to clear the purpose, they are describing 'Triple Spark' under it. Apart from the new paint scheme, it is the standard Pulsar 200NS, which is powered by a 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-valve engine. The motor churns out 23bhp of maximum power along with 18.3Nm of peak torque and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.
Bolted on a Pressed steel Perimeter Frame, Bajaj Pulsar 200NS has 37mm telescopic forks at the front and a Nitrox Mono-Shock suspension set-up at the rear. The bike runs on 17" light weight alloys, which comes with 100/80 and 130/70 section tubeless tyres at the front and the rear respectively. For better controllability, it gets a dual disc brake system with 280mm front and 230mm rear petal discs.
