Bajaj to launch Discover 150 S soon, bookings commenced at 500 INR

The home grown manufacturer- Bajaj Auto is all set to launch the Discover 150 S within next few days. The bike has already reached some showrooms and dealers have commenced the bookings at INR 500 only.

The new Discover 150 S is based on the latest platform of the series and looks much identical to its younger sibling Discover 125ST. The few minor changes include a straight type seat instead of the countered one. Aluminium finish on the side panel and at exhaust end are skipped this time. Additions to the appearance are a shining 3D metallic 'Discover' monogram on the fuel tank and '150S' moniker on the seat cowl.

The 2014 Discover 150S is powered by an all new 150cc, air-cooled, 4-valve, DTS-i engine using a 5-speed gearbox. Performance of the advanced engine will be slightly higher than the existing Pulsar 150 DTS-i, which delivers 14.85bhp of maximum power and a peak torque of 12.5Nm.

The bike shares the same fully analog instrument console, which comes with the Discover models based on the new platform. The Discover 150S comes with telescopic forks at the front, while the rear gets a Nitrox mono-shock suspension like the 125ST version. The rear wheel has been covered by a wider MRF Zapper 100/80 x 17” tyre for better grip and traction.

The new Bajaj Discover 150S is expected to be priced around Rs. 60,000 and it will compete with the entry level 150cc machines like Honda CB Unicorn and Yamaha SZ-RR.
