Union Bank Of India will be auctioning off DSK MotoWheels-owned Benelli and Hyosung motorcycles on 26 July 2019 between 11 am and 4 pm. A total of 43 vehicles along with DSK’s manufacturing facility in Talegaon which are currently in possession of the bank will be sold off online via bankauctions.com. The sale of these assets will help the bank recover existing dues from DSK, which went bankrupt in early 2018.
Interestingly, the list includes a couple of bikes and scooters that were never sale in the country. This comprises of a bunch of Keeways like the Keeway Dorado 250, Blackster, 202 and the RKS 150 Sport, along with the Hyosung GD 250 and Hyosung 250 Exiv. The second lot of bikes comprises of the Benelli Patagonian Eagle and Zafferano scooter that were spotted testing back in 2017 along with the Benelli Tornado 150 and the brand’s very own monkey bike called the TNT 135. A single 1130cc Benelli Trek Amazonas is up for grabs while the rest of the list consists of a number of TNT 600i’s and a couple of Hyosung Aquila's.
Apart from this, you could also bid for the company’s machinery, furniture and the entire manufacturing facility. After parting ways with DSK Motowheels, Benelli joined hands with Hyderabad-based dealer, Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI), a subsidiary of Mahavir Group. It currently has the TNT 600i, TNT 300, 302R and the TRK adventure touring range on offer. Benelli’s future plans include launching five more bikes in 2019.
