- Offered in 2 variants: 2.2kWh battery pack variant and 3.24kWh battery pack variant

Revolt has launched their latest offering, the RV1 starting at a price of Rs 84,990 ex-showroom. The new bike is an affordable commuter offering from the brand and comes in 2 variants RV1 and RV1+, positioned below the Revolt RV400 BRZ and the Revolt RV400. Here’s everything you need to know, starting with a detailed breakdown of the prices and colours.
Revolt RV1 Variant |
Price (ex-showroom) |
Revolt RV1 |
Rs 84,990 |
Revolt RV1+ |
Rs 99,990 |
Both the variants are offered in 4 colours: Black Midnight Blue, Cosmic Black Red, Titan Red Silver, Black Neon Green.
Bookings for the Revolt RV1 have begun and customers who are interested can book the e-bike for a price of Rs 499. The manufacturer has announced that the deliveries of the bike will start from September 27, 2024.
The new Revolt RV1 comes with a typical commuter-oriented design, with a simple headlight, wide handlebars, a long single-piece seat and a simple, metal grab rail. The bike also gets a crash guard and centre stand as standard, increasing the safety and making it a bit more practical to use.
The RV1 is offered in 2 variants: The RV1 and the RV1+, both powered by a 2.8kW mid-mounted motor, offering a claimed top speed of 75kmph. The RV1 features a 2.2kWh battery pack, offering a claimed range of 100km with full charge and the RV1+ gets a 3.24kWh battery pack that offers a claimed range of 160km. Additionally, the RV1+ can be charged from 0-100 percent in 1.5 hours with fast changing.
Unlike the Revolt RV400 and the Revolt RV400 BRZ which have a belt drive, the RV1 has a chain drive. The centre stand in such cases will be quite useful as it will make maintaining the bike’s chain much easier.
Coming to the underpinnings, to keep costs in check, Revolt has offered a simpler telescopic fork and dual-shock absorbers with the RV1 instead of the inverted fork and monoshock setup as what we have seen the RV400. The RV1 rolls on alloy wheels at both ends with 90-section front and 110-section rear tubeless tyres. Braking duties are handled by 240mm disc brakes at both ends.
The RV1 offers a 6-inch digital instrument console with 2 riding modes: Eco and City, along with a reverse mode as well. The console features a similar design as the one seen on the RV400 & BRZ, it displays information such as speed, battery level, time and other readouts like trip/odometer readings. Other features on the bike include a built in charger storage which is quite a convenient addition and makes things easier for riders.
Overall, the Revolt RV1 is a decent motorcycle with good features and adequate performance. At the starting price of Rs 84,990 it is an affordable commuter electric bike and could make for an ideal first electric bike. The RV1 will go up against other commuter electric bikes such as the Ola Roadster when the latter launches. Till then, the other electric alternatives include the Ola S1 X and the Ampere Magnus EX.
Along with the RV1’s launch, Revolt has also announced an upgrade to their flagship e-bike, the Revolt RV400. The bike now comes in a new colour scheme called Lunar Green. The RV400 is sold at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1,39,950, including Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme or EMPS subsidy.
