BREAKING: The Ather 450 Apex Has Been Launched With A Whopping Price Tag Of Rs 1.89 Lakh

The special edition scooter is a treat for the eyes and the heart with its gorgeous paint scheme and higher peak power output

The Ather 450X is already a treat of a scooter and now the EV maker has made an extreme version of the electric scooter – the Ather 450 Apex. Since it's a special edition model, it gets a premium price tag of Rs 1,89,000 (ex-showroom Bengaluru). Ather Energy is not claiming FAME 2 subsidy as they are preparing for when the subsidies will be scrapped in a few months’ time. 

So, the external design has been given a bit of a makeover, with the biggest highlight being the transparent panels showcasing the orange frame underneath. Additionally, the scooter comes draped in a special new paint scheme called Indium Blue that looks smashing with the orange wheels. 

Mechanically, the Ather 450 Apex’s motor produces a peak power output of 7kW that translates to a top speed of 100kmph and a 0-40kmph acceleration time of 2.9 seconds. For reference, the motor produces a peak power output of 6.4kW in the Ather 450X and can reach a top speed of 90kmph with a 0-40kmph acceleration time of 3.3 seconds. The 450 Apex also gets a higher certified range of 157km compared to the 450X’s certified range of 150km. 

It comes equipped with a new ride mode called Warp+ in addition to the Smart Eco, Eco, Ride, Sport and Warp ride modes. The Warp mode already delivers a pretty quick throttle response, so the Warp+ mode should  be even more exciting. 

The Ather 450 Apex also gets something called ‘Magic Twist’, which is what Ather is calling the negative throttle used for regen braking. The electric scooter gets a 5 year / 60,000km warranty for the battery. Its rivals include the Ola S1 Pro, TVS X and Simple One.
