The Indian-spec model differs in terms of power, kerb weight, seat height options and tyres

The 2024 KTM 390 Duke made its recent debut in India, surpassing our expectations with its impressive features. We had been eagerly awaiting its release in India ever since its unveiling a few weeks ago. Now, let's explore how the Indian model differs from the international-spec model:

To start with, the Indian version of the KTM 390 Duke delivers 46PS of power, which is 1.14PS more than the 44.86PS offered by the international model.

In terms of seating, the international-spec model comes with a standard seat height of 820mm, with an option for a shorter 800mm seat. In contrast, the Indian version features the 800mm seat as standard, while the 820mm seat is available as an option.

Regarding weight, the international KTM 390 Duke weighs 165kg (excluding fuel), whereas the Indian variant has a kerb weight of 168kg. Additionally, in India, the motorcycle is equipped with Metzeler M5 H-rated tyres, while it comes with Michelin radial tyres abroad.

KTM has priced the 2024 390 Duke at Rs 3,10,520 (ex-showroom) in India, only Rs 13,045 more than the previous-gen model. Its rivals in the Indian market include the BMW G 310 R, Apache RTR 310, Triumph Speed 400, QJ Motor SRK 400 and the Bajaj Dominar 400.
