Triumph Motorcycles India has introduced a new version of its Speed Twin 900 for 2025. The updated bike comes with changes to its design, suspension, and features.
Design
The 2025 Speed Twin 900 has a new look, but retains the overall familiar and easily recognizable design. The fuel tank now has more curves and new side panels, and the throttle body covers have been updated. The headlight is smaller, and the outer engine casings are slimmer. The exhaust pipe is shorter and now has an upward swept look. The tail section has been made compact and the tail light is now smaller. The seat has also been redesigned.
Chassis, Suspension & Brakes
The frame of the bike has been improved for better handling. Suspension at both ends is sourced from Marzocchi. The swingarm is now made of aluminium and the rear wheel travel has been reduced. The bike now has a bigger front brake disc at 320mm and a four-piston brake caliper.
Engine
The 2025 Speed Twin 900 is powered by Triumph’s 900cc Bonneville twin engine. This engine produces 65PS at 7,500 rpm and 80Nm at 3,800 rpm. The bike uses a ride-by-wire throttle system for smoother power delivery. It also has two riding modes: ‘Road’ and ‘Rain.’ The ‘Rain’ mode reduces the throttle sensitivity , making it easier to ride in wet conditions.
Features
The new Speed Twin 900 has a large, full-colour LCD screen that shows important information like the speed, RPMs, gear position, and the current riding mode. The screen can connect to Triumph’s Bluetooth system, which lets you use turn-by-turn navigation, and control phone calls and music from your phone.
The bike gets all-LED lighting. The Speed Twin 900 also comes with Cornering ABS and Traction Control. As an option, riders can add cruise control and a USB-C socket for charging phones.
Customization
The 2025 Speed Twin 900 is available in a total of 3 new colours and Triumph is offering over 120 accessories for the motorcycle. These include practical options like heated grips and luggage, as well as style options to change the bike’s look.
Pricing
The price at launch has been set at Rs 8,89,000 (ex-showroom), and the updated Speed Twin 900 will be available at dealerships across India from December 2024.
