The home grown two wheeler brand, Bajaj Auto Limited (BAL) is updating its Discover series of commuters with the third gen Discover platform. After launching the new Discover 125 recently, now the company is planning to extend the range of the series with a faired model. A camouflaged test mule of the new Discover 125ST has been spotted on test with a semi faired styling, which could be christened as Discover F125.
Where the other portals are claiming that it's a 150cc bike, named Discover F150, a very close person to the development confirmed that it is a 125cc semi faired commuter. Looking at the crank case and corrugated fins on the engine cylinder, confirms that it's the same 124.6cc, air-cooled, 4-Valve, DTS-i engine, which powers the 125T and 125ST models. One of our close sources also hinted that the company is planning a product in comparison with Hero Igniter and Honda CB Stunner.
Apart from its semi body fairing at the front, the whole platform will remain similar to the Discover 125ST. The F125 model will sport the similar edgy headlamp with twin pilot lamps, front disc brake, masculine fuel tank, wide and comfortable seat, sleek rear panels and LED tail lamp. However, the new bike will get an updated exhaust muffler and a semi fairing like other 125cc faired bikes in India.
Bajaj Discover F125 will compete with the Ignitor and Stunner in India, however the bike will get an advantage of the mono-shock suspension at the rear and more affordable price than the other brands.
