Harley Davidson India announces 2011 Forty Eight in India

Harley Davidson, the US cruiser giant, has announced to launch a new variant of is most popular bike model Harley Davidson Sportster. This new announced variant of Sportster model is Forty Eight which is already available in International market, now the company is going to take sale orders by April this year and delivery would be started from this summer.

Initially, Harley Davidson has announced this Sportster Forty Eight for Indian market and Harley Davidson Forty Eight 1200 price in India is Rs. 8,50,000 which is costlier than its already launched CKD Harley Davidson Iron 883 and Harley Davidson SuperLow. But this elegant bike comes with enhanced features and more powerful engine then others.

Harley Davidson Forty Eight 1200 is powered by polished rubber-mounted Evolution 1200 cc V-Twin engine just same as its other siblings like Harley Davidson XL 1200N NIGHTSTER and Harley Davidson XR 1200X which are already launched in India. But this new bike has different appearance than its siblings which make it first choice of custom cruiser lovers.

This is a legendary tradition factory custom bike that comes with a slammed suspension, classic "peanut" fuel tank, low solo seat with a height of 26 inches, under-mounted mirrors, side mount license plate, clean rear fender and tall and fat front tyre which proves it a custom bike in the segment. The bike has same appearance as bulldog. The bike is equipped with Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) technology and performance tuning with a broad torque curve which delivers a powerfully responsive ride with smooth clutch effort. Meanwhile its forward foot controls, low profile custom handlebar, fork-mounted turn signals, slammed speedometer mounting bracket and fork brace with lightening holes make it ultra comfortable bike for the rider. 

Harley Davidson offers 14 bike variants in its superb performer 8 cruiser bike models and now this new elegant beast has been added in the Indian cruiser market.
