Hero Honda now looking for Re-branding

Hero Honda, the biggest bike manufacturer in India is very much in news these days as it is in a process to remove Honda from Hero Honda. The exit of Honda from 26 year old joint venture, has left a big responsibility on the shoulders of Munjals.

It is difficult to imagine Hero Honda without Honda, as the brand is India's largest manufacturer of bikes and masses recognise it with this name. But now the company has to continue its journey without the Honda group, and for that Munjals are taking some big decisions on re-branding of the company. The process is going to be tough for the Hero group as they have never worked without the other partner.

The Munjals want to give a new look to the company and for this, they are coming up with new branding strategies. For this, Munjals are having serious talks with their brand experts to come up with new branding policies for the company. According to the latest news, the company is planning to reduce the products name from the mother brand to the individual name like Passion, CBZ etc.

The idea of renaming the company to Hero might sound a little out of logical boundaries as the company is too famous by its present name only. It is difficult to imagine if the individual brands like Passion etc will actually get leverage with the name 'Hero'.

The contract for technical support from Honda if likely to end in the year 2014, till then the technological hint of Honda will surely be seen in the products of Hero Honda. Many people believe that the company will do well without Honda involved in it, whereas few strongly doubt the existence of the company without the essential element Honda in it.

Hero officials strongly believed in their potential and claimed that the company has been performing too good in the Indian market even with existence of Honda's individual products. Nothing has bothered the working of the company and hence it will make the same progress even in future.
