Hero MotoCorp Investing 450 Crore to set up New R&D Centre in Rajasthan

Hero MotoCorp is India's Leading two-wheeler manufacturer for so many years. To retain the top position, Hero is taking many advance steps. The recent step taken is the decision to open a new research and development centre of the company. Hero MotoCorp is going to set up a R&D centre in Kukas, near Jaipur in Rajasthan. The company is planning to invest Rs. 450 crores on the development of this new facility.
The new facility will be an advanced centre, having a capacity for around 600 engineers. The proposed R&D centre will come into operation by the first quarter of 2015. Company's managing director and CEO Pawan Munjal said, "Kukas is going to be on the global map with a truly international centre of excellence, not just in terms of its design, development, testing and validation facilities but also in terms of the diversified pool of human talent from all over the world,"
"We will acquire the best of global talent to build a truly multi-cultural, multi-national set up here, which will also play the role of a catalyst in nurturing multi-faceted local talent through knowledge sharing," he added.
Hero MotoCorp has also started taking its international operations quite seriously, opening of 85 outlets in Peru and 49.2 percent stakes in Erik Buell Racing are few recent initiatives taken by the company in the same direction. And now the company has announced to set up more than 20 manufacturing facilities across the world by 2020. This new R&D centre will help the company in the global expansion, as they need more products to launch in the International market.
