Hero website updated with Passion Pro TR, is it launched?

The leading Indian two-wheeler manufacturer- Hero MotoCorp has updated its product portfolio on the official website with a new model- Passion Pro TR. However, most of the dealers are clueless about the bike's launch or its pricing. Some of the dealers, who have some info about the update are saying that it will take a time period of approx 1 month to be available for sale.

Hero Passion Pro TR was first showcased at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo with the Splendor Pro Classic (Cafe Racer) and other upcoming models of the company. It is an on/off road version of the current Passion Pro with some extra cosmetic and safety features. There are no changes in the dimensions or powertrain of the bike.

New Features added to the Passion Pro TR are:

* New Sporty Graphics for enhanced appearance

* Grip pads on the fuel tank for better thigh grip

* Handlebar gets a cross bar for better strength

* High mounted front fender with front tyre hugger

* Headlight mesh grill to protect the headlamp

* Bash plate to secure the engine

* Knuckle guards in front of the handle grips to protect hands

* High grip tyre tread for compatibility on both loose and hard surfaces

* 240mm disc brake on the front wheel (standard)

It continues to sport the 97.2cc, air-cooled mill with a four speed transmission. The engine belts out 7.7bhp of maximum power along with a peak torque of 8.04Nm. The bike sports telescopic forks at the front and 5-step adjustable hydraulic suspensions at the rear. The bike is expected to be priced slightly higher than the standard Passion Pro, which comes at Rs. 48,200 (ex-showroom, Delhi for the Disc Self Cast variant).
