Both the XPulse 200 and XPulse 200T were spotted in production guise abroad recently
- The Hero XPulse 200T was unveiled as a concept at 2018 EICMA.
- The XPulse 200T is the touring variant of the bike and gets alloy wheels, road-biased tyres, taller flyscreen and other touring add-ons.
- Hero might launch the XPulse 200 and XPulse 200T together in India.
Recently, the Hero XPulse 200 was spotted at an advert shoot in India, indicating its imminent launch here. Now, both the XPulse 200 and XPulse 200T in production-ready avatars were spotted with Turkish YouTube moto channel MotopiXel Tv. This confirms the fact that Hero MotoCorp will launch the XPulse 200T soon. While the XPulse 200T was spotted testing in India, it is the first time the bike has been spotted in production trim.
The XPulse 200T was first showcased as a concept at the Hero pavilion at EICMA last year. It is the touring-focused variant of the XPulse 200. Touring bits come in the form of smaller 17-inch alloy wheels with road-biased MRF tyres, a stiffer suspension setup for road use, a lower seat height, smaller handlebar, a taller touring screen and lower exhaust setup. Know more about the differences between the XPulse 200 and XPulse 200T here.
Both bikes will use a 200cc air-cooled motor based on the Xtreme 200R’s mill, though we expect it to get fuel injection. This motor is expected to make around 18PS and 17Nm of torque and come mated to a 5-speed gearbox. We expect the XPulse 200T to get a taller gearing for more relaxed touring ability.
The Xpulse 200 is expected to launch in April and Hero MotoCorp might launch the XPulse 200T alongside it. The Xpulse 200 duo is expected to be priced between Rs 1 lakh to 1.1 lakh (ex-showroom). At this price point, they will be the most affordable ADVs in the market and as such, do not have any direct competition.
