The legendary American motorcycle brand, Indian Motorcycle is all set to bring another exciting cruiser in India on 7th May, 2015. The company has sent us an invitation, titled as “The New Indian Chief is all set to land in Bengaluru.” It says that the new Indian Chief delivers pure, powerful and raw Indian Motorcycle performance and it is of one of the most exciting offering from the company to be introduced in India. Now, the only motorcycle listed on their website, which is not available in the Indian market is the latest Indian Chief Dark Horse. So, we can expect arrival of this fantastic motorcycle on the 7th May in Bangaluru.
The new Dark Horse is the most affordable offering in Indian Chief range, which will be priced at Rs. 22 lacs in India (as per the OEM’s website). That means it will be around 3.5 lacs cheaper than the least priced Indian Chief available in India today. It is based on the similar platform, used by its other siblings, along with the iconic Thunder Stroke 111, V-twin engine. However, it is cheaper because of loosing some cosmetic equipments and chrome work. The 1,811cc, air-cooled mill makes upto 161.6Nm of torque at just 3,000rpm using closed loop electronic fuel injection system.
Instead of the glossy, shining paint job, the new Indian Chief Dark Horse gets a matte black skin, which suits better to the name. Apart from the blacked out styling, it features iconic badging on the fuel tank, Warbonnet, valenced fender, dual exhausts and many other appealing elements. Standard features of the motorcycle includes, super sticky Dunlop Elite tyres, keyless ignition, dual front and single rear 300mm disc brakes, antilock braking system (ABS) and cruise control. There will be a wide range of optional features, which can be purchased with the bike like heated grips, ape hanger handlebars, pinacle one-up luggage rack and many more.
