Makes more power than KTM 125 Duke while weighing nearly 20kg less!
Keeway has unveiled a new 125cc naked, the MBP F125, at Intermot 2022. It takes styling cues from its older sibling, the Keeway M502N. The golden fork, sharp front and minimalist body design make it look like a scaled-down version of the M502N. That said, the different tank extensions, alloys and seat give it a distinctive look.
The MBP F125 is powered by a 124.9cc, liquid-cooled mill that makes 15.2PS and 10.85Nm and is paired to a six-speed transmission. That makes it 0.7PS more but 1.15Nm less than the KTM 125 Duke. In fact, at 140kg, the MBP F125 is a colossal 19kg lighter than the KTM, resulting in a much better power-to-weight ratio.
As for the underpinnings, there’s an inverted fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock. Backing its sportiness are 17-inch alloys at both ends with a 110-section unit at the front and 130-section one at the rear. The disc brakes at the front and rear are 240mm and 220mm units respectively.
We expect Keeway to launch the bike abroad sometime later this year, and eventually it could even make its way to India, considering the brand is already here with a range of products. But if you’re looking for a 125cc bike from Keeway right away, you could check out the newly launched Keeway SR125.
