2025 Honda SP125: Here's What’s New

The 125cc sporty commuter segment gets even hotter!

Honda has introduced the 2025 SP125 in India, and it comes in a total of two variants: drum and disc, priced at Rs Rs 91,771 and Rs 1,00,284 (ex-showroom), respectively.

Design

The overall design of the 2025 Honda SP125 remains similar to the previous model, but with some updates. The biggest change includes a new LED headlight and taillight, updated graphics on the side panels, fuel tank, and headlight cowl. It offers five colour options: Pearl Igneous Black, Matt Axis Grey Metallic, Pearl Siren Blue, Imperial Red Metallic, and Matt Marvel Blue Metallic

Engine

The 2025 Honda SP125 now has an OBD2B (On-Board Diagnostics Version 2) port , which will become mandatory for all vehicles from April 1, 2025. Aside from this, the 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine remains unchanged. It continues to produce 10.8PS of power and 10.9Nm. It is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.

Features

The motorcycle now comes with a 4.2-inch TFT instrument console, which includes Bluetooth connectivity, navigation and voice assistance via the Honda RoadSync app. A USB-C charging port has also been added to charge phones. The bike also gets a silent starter, a side-stand engine cut-off, and an engine idle start-stop feature to increase mileage.

Chassis And Suspension

For suspension, the bike gets a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers. The motorcycle has a ground clearance of 160mm and the seat height stands at 790mm. The kerb weight is 116kg and the fuel tank capacity is 11.2 litres.

Brakes And Tyres

The braking setup varies between the two variants: the Drum variant comes with 130mm drum brakes at both ends, while the Disc variant is equipped with a 240mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum brake. The SP125 gets 18-inch wheels at both ends, with an 80/100-section front and a 100/80-section rear tyre.

Rivals

The 2025 Honda SP125 rivals the like of the TVS Raider, the Bajaj Pulsar N125, and the Hero Xtreme 125R.
