The Japanese auto major, Kawasaki, is quite aggressive in the Indian market now-a-days. After launching 5 high performance bikes in a very short span of time, the company is planning to bring another green monster to India. This time, the company will launch an entry level performance bike, known as Z250.
Currently, the company is offering 7 models in India, in which least capacity bike is Ninja 300, priced above Rs. 3.5 lakh. However the Z250 will be priced below Rs. 3 lakh and expected to come in the market by mid of this year.
Resembling to the recently launched Z800, Kawasaki Z250 will make those street enthusiasts' dreams come true, which can't afford the current offerings by the company. Powered by a 249cc, liquid cooled, parallel-twin mated with six-speed gearbox, the bike gets a maximum power of 31bhp at 11,000rpm along with a peak torque of 21Nm at 8,000rpm.
Although having a 'Z' element, inspired by Z800, Kawasaki Z250 is based on Ninja 300's platform and shares all the basic design elements with it, except the headlamps and frot fairing. Being a naked street bike, it misses the full fairing and gets a Z pattern cowling at the front with aggressive twin headlamp design.
Featuring telescopic forks at the front, Z250 gets the mono-shock suspension with aluminium swing-arm at the rear. Both the front and rear 5Y-spoke alloys are covered with wide tyres and comes equiped with petal disc brakes. The bike comes with and easy to read digital-analog instrument console.
