Keeway latest offering is priced bang in the middle of many people’s wish lists
Keeway has launched the SR 250 neo-retro scrambler at the Auto Expo 2023, at an ex-showroom (Delhi) price of Rs 1.49 lakh. Now, though it may not be the cheapest Keeway offering in India, it’s still priced quite well, considering the sheer number of similarly priced offerings in the Indian market. So here’s a list of two-wheelers you could opt for, if the SR 250 doesn’t catch your fancy:
Bajaj Pulsar F250 - Rs 1,44,979 (ex-showroom Delhi)
Let’s start with a performance-oriented option: the largest Pulsar yet. The Pulsar F250’s all-new 249cc air-/oil-cooled engine makes a healthy 24.5PS and 21.5Nm (an 8PS and 5Nm bump), so overtakes will be a breeze both on the city and on the highway. Also on offer are upright ergos for your daily commute, but engaging handling which will keep you grinning during weekend joyrides as well. Know more about the Pulsar F250 from our review.
Royal Enfield Hunter 350 - Rs 1,49,900 (ex-showroom Delhi)
Our next choice is the bike that’s the stepping stone into the grand old Indian brand. The Hunter 350 is best suited for those looking for relaxed commutes, with some highway stints thrown in. Moreover, it makes just enough of a ‘thump’ to entice new riders, without getting too harsh on longer rides. And finally, the choice of both spokes and alloys, along with the myriad paint finishes means there are quite a few choices, depending on what you fancy. Here’s a full list of what we liked (and didn’t) about it.
Hero Xpulse 200 4V - Rs 1,38,496
India’s (or at least our) favourite off-roader slots in at around the asking price of the Keeway. Now considering how capable the Xpulse 200 4V is on the rough stuff, as well as the ease it can commute with, what else could one ask for? Read more about the Xpulse 200 4V in our review here.
Yamaha Aerox 155 - Rs 1,40,800 (ex-showroom Delhi)
Considering the Aerox 155 is among the only ‘true’ sports scooter in India, most people can look beyond its relatively high (for a scooter) price tag. And yet, ride it spiritedly and you’ll know exactly the reason that so many people get a smile on their face when they spot an Aerox. But that isn’t all, as you’ll know from our review here.
Ather 450X - Rs 1,41,905 (ex-showroom Delhi)
With a scooter already on the list, it was hardly a stretch to include an electric scooter as well, more so when it’s THE electric scooter. In its latest iteration, the Ather 450X has (almost) bid goodbye to range anxiety. And considering the sheer breadth of features on offer, with the latest round of updates the proverbial icing on the cake, it’ll be the perfect choice for tech lovers.
