The V-twin cruiser looks quite stunning
Keeway gave us a rather pleasant surprise with the unexpected launch of the V302C in India. While the pricing of this V-twin cruiser is a bit too expensive at Rs 3,89,000 (ex-showroom India), it looks attractive, gets some premium hardware and a rather impressive powertrain.
At first glance, you can confirm that it gets a proper muscular bobber styling with a low slung frame, peanut-shaped fuel tank, chopped fenders and a wide handlebar.
It gets a stylish circular LED headlight with DRLs, that fuses retro with modern quite simply and effectively. For a sporty appeal, it also features bar-end rearview mirrors.
Powering this cruiser is a rather attractive-looking V-twin engine displacing 298cc. The liquid-cooled mill produces 29.9PS and 26.5Nm and is paired to a six-speed gearbox. Like its smaller sibling, the Keeway K-Light 250V, the V302C also gets a belt drive system.
The underpinnings on the cruiser are premium like a USD fork and dual shock absorber suspension setup. For braking, it gets a 300mm disc up front and a 240mm disc at the rear with the safety net of dual channel ABS.
The cruiser rolls on 16-inch alloys wrapped in 120/80 rubbers up front and 15-inch rear alloy wheels with 150/80 section tyres.
In terms of features, the Keeway V302C comes packed with a circular digital instrument cluster that indicates the speedometer, tachometer, odometer and gear position. At this price, we would have liked it if the bike got smartphone connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation.
While the Keeway V302C does not have any direct rivals in the Indian market, its closest competitors are the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and Yezdi Roadster. With a price tag closer to the Rs 4 lakh mark, the V302C is on the more expensive side.
