Keeway V302C vs Pi Moto Starship 3 Compared In 6 Images

Chinese two-wheeler brand Pi Moto recently launched the Starship 3 in its home market last week. Keeway India, on the other hand, bestowed upon us, the V302C last month. So, how do these two muscular-looking, 300cc V-twin cruisers do, when put up against each other? Let’s find out, through images:

The Keeway V302C, which is practically a rebranded Benda BD300, looks muscular and stunning. It gets a bulky fuel tank, a mid-rise handlebar and chopped fenders that makes it look aggressive yet gorgeous. It also comes packed with a classy round headlight and LED lighting all-around. 

While the Starship 3 looks striking too, it adopts a different, more contemporary design language. Its bodywork, sleek fairing and large panniers give it a bagger look and the bike can be easily mistaken for a large capacity cruiser, like the Honda Gold Wing or BMW K 1600 GT. 

In terms of powertrain, the Keeway V302C is powered by a 298cc, V-twin, liquid-cooled engine that produces 29.9PS and 26.5Nm. It gets a belt drive system that is paired to a six-speed gearbox. 

The Starship 3’s 304cc V-twin liquid-cooled heart, on the other hand, makes 31.95PS and 26.8Nm. It comes paired to a six-speed gearbox and gets a belt drive system as well. What stands out on this bike is that it comes with a slipper clutch.

The Keeway V302C flaunts modern underpinnings, like a USD fork and dual shock absorber suspension setup. For braking, it gets a 300mm disc up front with a radial caliper and a 240mm disc at the rear with the safety net of dual channel ABS. Staying true to its retro roots, the Starship 3 has rather simple underpinnings, with  a telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers. Braking is done via single discs at both ends.

The Keeway V302C packs a circular digital instrument cluster that features a speedometer, tachometer, odometer along with a gear position indicator. Features is where the Starship 3 pulls ahead of the V302C. It gets a keyless start system, multi-function TFT screen with navigation, and even Bluetooth audio. The windshield is electronically adjustable and the rear view mirrors have LED indicators integrated into them, giving the bike a modern touch.

While the Keeway V302C sounds attractive on paper, the Rs 3,89,000 (ex-showroom India) price makes it quite a pricey proposition. So if you’re looking for a potent yet affordable 300-400cc cruiser in India, the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is one of the best choices out there.

The Pi Moto Starship 3 is priced at Yen 24,888, an equivalent of around Rs 2.83 lakh, making it quite a value-for-money stylish, feature-laden bagger. That said, it is unlikely that the cruiser will be heading to our shores.
