KTM RC 200 launched in India, Price and Specs inside

The leading European motorcycle brand- KTM has launched its RC 200 in India with a price tag of Rs. 1.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike shares the chassis with its streetfighter sibling- Duke 200, which is already available in the Indian market. However, body work of the bike is based on the lines of high-end supersport motorcycle- RC 8R.

The KTM RC 200 has been styled like a proper superbike with a full body fairing and lots of racing elements. The bike gets a large wing shield, dual projector headlamps, masculine fuel tank, split seat, clip-on handlebars, dual disc brakes, inverted front forks, rear monoshock and wide track type tyres.

Powering the bike is a 199.5cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, 4-valve engine, which uses a fuel injection system for better performance. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, it is capable to churn out a maximum power of 25bhp along with a peak torque of 19.2Nm.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Amit Nandi, Sr. Vice President Bajaj Probiking said,“KTM has grown by 120% in the current financial year. With the RC’s we expect KTM to be by far the fastest growing motorcycle brand in India.“
