KTM RC 390, RC 200 and RC 125 production starts, Launch Soon

The Austrian auto major, KTM has started the production of its most awaited entry level RC machines at the Chakan Plant. Some spy shots of the KTM RC 390 and RC 125 production models have been leaked recently at plant premise, which Indicated that the company might launch these bike soon in the global as well as the Indian market.

The company has already unveiled the bikes globally and has updated on its websites also. Also in a recent event, the company announced to launch the RC 390 and RC 200 in the running year in India, however, they didn't specify the month. Now, it seems to be happen very soon by these images.

All the three bikes are based on their sibling Dukes, and shares the basic platform and engines with them. However, the RC series will get a full body fairing and all other body panels, inspired by the track machine RC8 R. Apart from these shared design elements, these bikes will get an all new pattern of head lamp unit with twin-pod projector headlamps and two sharp LED DRLs.

KTM RC 390 is powered by a 373.2cc, liquid-cooled, 4-valve, single-cylinder engine, which churns out 43bhp of maximum power and also powers the Duke 390. Following the trend, KTM RC 200 will share the 199.5cc, liquid-cooled, 4-valve, single with the Duke 200, which belts out a maximum power of 25bhp.

All the three bikes will be manufactured in India by their Indian partner- Bajaj Auto Limited at their Chakan plant. However, India will get the KTM RC 200 and RC 390, while all the three bikes including KTM RC 125 will be launched in the European and other markets. The RC 390 is expected to be priced at Rs 2.25 lakh, while the company might launch the RC 200 with an affordable price tag of Rs. 1.75 lakh.
