The leading motorbike manufacturer of the European market, KTM is ready to unveil its full faired entry level racing machines, RC125, 200 and 390 in the 2013 Milan Motor Show (EICMA). And here are the final prototypes of the RC 125 and 200 without their paint schemes. The race version of RC390 which was unveiled at Sachsenring for the German MotoGP, has been registered as the new standard bike for the ADAC Junior Cup feeder series in July.
The machines will be based on the company's entry level naked sport range, Duke 125, 200 and 390. However, the frame has been redesigned by taking inspiration from the company's full size racing machine RC8 R. All the three bikes are identical in design with changes in the power and performance. Paint jobs of the bikes may also differ such as Dukes.
The performance of the bike is supposed to be similar to their sibling Dukes. RC390 is likely to deliver 43bhp, while RC125 and RC200 are expected to deliver 15bhp and 25bhp respectively. All the bikes have a 6-speed gear box with a claw shift lever. They will come with 300mm front and 230mm rear disk brakes with ABS compulsory in RC390, while optional in RC200. RC390 might also come with an option of Bosch's MSC (Motorcycle Stability Control), as the bike has to be made as a perfect track machine.
WP Up Side Down forks at the front and WP Monoshock suspension at the rear will be identical in the bikes. However, the suspension travel will be lesser than the Dukes. The ground clearance of the bikes is also expected to be lesser than the naked machines.
Like the entry level naked machines, KTM will manufacture these entry level RC series in India with their Indian Partner, Bajaj Auto. And the bikes are also expected to be showcased at the Auto Expo in India.
