Finally, it seems that the mystery of Mahindra Mojo’s launch has been uncovered by the company at their recent dealers conference. Mahindra has revealed the production model of Mojo 300 and had announced to release it within the next 60 days. The bike is ready to be launched and these two months will be consumed for pre-launch preparations including ad campaign designing and promotional activities planning.
This big delay in the launch of Mahindra Mojo 300 caused due to R&D process. The company told that they are working to make it available at very competitive pricing. Aesthetically, the final production version of the bike is not much different than the model showcased at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. Engine and Handlebar have been painted Black, which were aluminium finished earlier. There are metal inserts in both knee scoops of the fuel tank, having the brand name. While 'Mahindra' sticker on the upper part of the fuel tank have been replaced with “Mojo” moniker.
Being a roadster machine, Mahindra Mojo has an aggressive appearance with premium styling. At the front, it has twin-pod style headlamps with LED daytime running lights. This arrangement has been fitted in a bikini fairing, having a short visor as well.
The fuel tank of the Mojo is masculine and gels well with its contoured seat. There are still ‘Golden Ribs ‘ below the fuel tank, and they accompany the golden front suspensions and rear swingarm. Digital-analog instrumentation of the motorcycle is well designed and looks easy to read. Overall, it has style features like of a streetfighter superbike and most appealing of them is the dual side-slung type exhaust mufflers.
Propelling the new Mahindra Mojo is a 300cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which makes around 30hp. Power to weight ratio of the motorcycle will be definitely better than many of its competitors. Expected price of the motorcycle is around Rs. 1.4 lac and that is highly competitive according to its highly premium features like front inverted forks, really big disc brakes and Pirelli Sport Demon rubber.
