Do you know world championship in Grand Prix motorcycle racing was first held in year 1949. If yes, than you should also know that it has been an incredible phase for the riders who have participated in it. So many citizens who did not knew what fame felt like became superstars after the first few races. Talking about the fame, here we are going to address you a few people who have recently turned actors or musicians or gone way farther in the same field of racing.
Few days back, James Toseland, two times winner of World Superbike Championship, stepped into the music industry. After getting a forced retirement from racing world because of a wrist injury, the man has released its debut album known as Renegade. James has also commenced his UK tour. The places where he will be performing in near future are Wolverhampton (3 April), Manchester (5 April), Glasgow (8 April) and many more. This former British and World Superbike Champion is also the current presenter of MotoGP on BT Sport television channel in the United Kingdom and in Ireland.
Jeremy McWilliams, an old rider who actively participated in the MotoGP World Championship till 2007, played the role- 'The Bad Man' in the movie- 'Under the Skin'. One day, he got a random call from some guy, he didn't knew who said that he is interested in motorcycle rider for his role of a man-eating alien. Although, the role of Jeremy was quite an extraordinary one, the proposal was accepted and the role was performed by him. While at the first showing at the Venice film festival, film director Jonathan Glazer gained a very bad response but once the movie was released, it got some great reviews from the Independent (UK News). The movie also got a five-star rating from both the renowned newspapers like the Guardian and the Telegraph.
Valentino Rossi, the name itself speaks everything about his journey in the history of MotoGP. The boy who gave his whole life to speed and racing. There are ample of records and achievements that are engraved with his name for his blissful riding. He is the only rider to win 7 races back to back at his home Grand Prix at Mugello (2002-2008). While, he has won World Championship for 9 times. He was also the youngest rider ever to win MotoGP World Championships in all three classes 125GP, 250GP, and the 500GP. Till date he is one of the finest rider racing and performing in MotoGP. The latest race in which he took part was MotoGP round one held in Qatar. Rossi was second to finish the line after 0.259 seconds, i.e., his finishing time was 42.40.820. He gave a close battle to Marc Marques, the current and youngest MotoGP world champion. Still, he has not lost the glory yet, he can still frame his victory in the upcoming event if Marques lets him.
Marc Marques is a 21-year old boy who won the 2013 MotoGP World Championship. The zeal and passion in him for biking was out when he out-classed the last championship by 334 points, which is the greatest number ever achieved during a rookie season in the premier class. Also, he was the first rookie ever in the premier class to win four successive GP races. There are lots of achievements he has made in a small period of time but the latest race speaks aloud that he was born to race. His battle with the 9 times world champion, Valentino Rossi was simply epic. The whole world is talking about the fight they gave to each other to win the first position. The best time Marc set was 42.40.561 and his speed was 348.3kmph. This boy is a God's blessing for MotoGP world championship.
MotoGP championship gave these riders a whole new world but their talent returned them the racing world a sea full of amazing achievements and records, which are yet to be broken by the upcoming future riders.
