NewThe Japanese auto major, Kawasaki has unveiled a new lower capacity motorbike of its 'Z' naked bike series. The Kawasaki Z250 looks like a naked version of Ninja 300, and shares the styling cues from its brutal elder sibling Z800.
The high performance circuit developed frame, minimalist tail cowls, sporty instrument panel, split seat, tail light, short style silencer, petal disc brakes, light weight aluminium wheels, front mudguard and 17 litre flared fuel tank are identicle to the baby Ninja.
The muscular engine shrouds, wide handle bar and multi reflector head-lamps taking inspiration from the Z800. It uses a 140mm wide rear tyre which suits the bike's performance.
The new bike sports a 249cc, 4-stroke, liquid cooled, parallel twin mill, which churns out a maximum power of 31.5bhp @11,000rpm and a peak torque of 21Nm @10,000rpm.
The engine uses advance dual throttle technology and fuel injection system for better performance. The power mill comes mated to a six speed gear-box in 1 up and 5 down shift pattern and uses a claw type lever for shifting.
The bike holds an aggressive stance with a sporty feel. It will be priced lower than the Ninja 300 and expected to launch in India as well.
