Indian Motorcycle manufacturer - Royal Enfield has pulled off the promotional video of their upcoming Adventure Sports motorcycle the Himalayan, from their official YouTube channel. This was the same video in which Indian Dakar racer CS Santosh is seen riding the bike and after a jump, the footpeg of the bike snapped off. Company officials have confirmed that the removal of the video has nothing to do with the footpeg snapping off, but that a new video is on its way replacing it.

Earlier, the Indian manufacturer had faced some criticism from viewers and had posted a response saying, “This testing proved to us that if you land from a jump that’s 6ft above ground, the footpeg could break, so we made it better and did it all over again and again before we broke out with the #Himalayan.”

Now, the video has been taken off from the company’s YouTube channel. According to one of the company officials, “It’s always been the plan to take this video down and replace it. A new video isn’t far away.”

We are just days away from the first Indian Adventure Sports motorcycle being launched. We already know all the details about the bike, except the price. We believe the price could fall close of 1.6 lac. Seeing the buzz that the Himalayan has created, the Austrian motorcycle maker KTM along with its Indian partner has announced the launch of their adventure sports motorcycle in India. Company officials have confirmed that the new KTM 200 and 390 Adventure will be based on the KTM 1190 adventure and will make its debut in a few months from now.
