Royal Enfield has finally launched the much-awaited Shotgun 650 in India at a starting price of Rs 3.59 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is equipped with a 648cc parallel twin-cylinder engine, shared with the Super Meteor 650. It delivers a peak output of 47PS and 52.3Nm, coupled with a 6-speed transmission. The bike claims a mileage of 22kmpl and has a 13.8-litre tank (1.9 litres less than the Super Meteor).

Built on a steel tubular frame, the Shotgun 650 features a specially tuned 43mm big piston Showa front inverted fork and twin-tube 5-step preload-adjustable dual shocks at the rear. It offers an upright riding position with mid-set footpegs, giving riders a comfortable yet slightly forward-leaning posture.
The Shotgun 650’s seat is 55mm taller than the Super Meteor 650 with a height of 795mm. The bike offers 140mm ground clearance, slightly higher than the Super Meteor, and weighs 240kg (1kg less than its sibling). The 650cc bobber rolls on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels, fitted with 100-section front and 150-section rear (radial) tubeless Ceat Zoom Cruz tyres.
Royal Enfield has nailed it with the Shotgun 650's competitive price, offering a more affordable and sportier option than the Super Meteor 650. Moreover, In the 650cc segment, the Shotgun 650 stands alone and the only possible alternatives can be other small-capacity bobbers like the Jawa Perak and Jawa 42 Bobber.
