The Fascino S 125, Ray ZR 125, and Ray ZR Street Rally 125 are all set to get greener
Yamaha Motor India recently launched its revamped 150cc motorcycle lineup consisting of the R15 V4, MT-15 V2, FZ-S V4 and the FZ-X. While all these Yammies got a range of updates, leaked documents have revealed that the Japanese marque will soon be updating its remaining Indian lineup to be BS6.2-compliant as well.
Which Yamaha bike or scooter would be next you wonder? Well, as per a leaked homologation document, the Fascino S 125, Ray ZR 125, and Ray ZR Street Rally 125 will soon come equipped with the second-generation of the Onboard Diagnostic Device (OBD). OBD 2 norms will require vehicles to comply with preset emission levels in real time and not just in laboratory conditions.
The document reveals these three Yamaha scooters to be powered by the same 125cc engine that will continue to produce 8.2PS and 10.3Nm. We also expect the Japanese brand to drape these scooters in new colourways as part of the update.
That said, while the recently launched updated 150cc motorcycle lineup did receive a few updates in terms of features, we expect Yamaha to retain the same design and features list on the Fascino S 125, Ray ZR 125, and Ray ZR Street Rally 125.
