With petrol prices through the roof in our country, there hasn’t been a more opportune time for EV manufacturers to cash in. Doing precisely that is Prevail Electric, a Gurugram-based EV startup that has launched three new electric scooters in India -- Elite, Finesse, and Wolfury.
The most affordable e-scooter of the trio is the Wolfury, priced at Rs 89,999, followed by the Finesse retailing at Rs 99,999, and Elite at Rs 1,29,999 (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).
All three scooters are claimed to return a 110km range and charge fully in merely four hours. Their power output is rated at 1kW. But they have different top speeds; the Wolfury can reach 50kmph, while the Finesse and Elite manage top speeds of 60kmph and 80kmph, respectively.
Standard features on the e-scooters include USB charging, LED lighting, and hydraulic shock absorbers. Apart from this, the top model, Elite, comes with swappable batteries and an LCD instrument cluster (with smartphone connectivity) offering navigation, music, and call controls on the fly.
All three have high-tensile steel bodywork and ride on aluminium alloys. Surprisingly, they still tip the scale at just 80kg (without battery).

Aesthetically, we find the Wolfury the most pleasing, thanks to its sharp and edgy styling. The other two models feature more conventional designs but look decent, nevertheless.
The brand has yet to reveal details about pricing, availability, complete specifications, and how one can buy the scooters. As of now, we think all three certainly have the potential, but are slightly pricey.
