2025 Hero Xtreme 250R: Features Explained

Hero MotoCorp has recently launched the new Xtreme 250R in India at Auto Expo 2025. The bike is available in a single variant and comes in three colour options: Neon Shooting Star, Stealth Black and Firestorm Red. The bike is priced at Rs 1,79,900 (ex-showroom).

Here’s what features the new Xtreme 250R offers:

The Hero Xtreme 250R comes equipped with an all-LED lighting setup, including a projector headlamp and an H-shaped tail light. The naked bike has a colour LCD instrument console with smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth. It offers call/SMS alerts and turn-by-turn navigation. It also features E-SIM-based connectivity with the Hero Connect application. For added convenience, it also gets a USB type-C charging port, a 11.5-litre fuel tank and also has hazard lights.

The 250cc streetfighter also gets a number of rider aids like traction control, a slip-and-assist clutch, rear wheel lift-off control and two ride modes: Sport and Rain. The Xtreme also gets a lap timer and a drag timer like the smaller Hero Xtreme bikes. Equipped with dual-channel ABS, you can also switch off the rear ABS.

The Xtreme 250R is powered by an all-new 250cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes a peak output of 30PS and 25Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch.

The 250cc Hero bike gets a steel trellis frame, derived from the smaller Hero Karizma XMR 210. It gets an inverted fork and a monoshock. The bike uses 320mm front and 230mm rear petal disc brakes, with dual-channel ABS. The biggest capacity Xtreme comes fitted with 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels at both ends, wrapped with 110-section front and 150-section rear tubeless tyres. With a seat height of 806mm, the Xtreme 250R has a 167mm ground clearance and a 167.7kg kerb weight.

The Hero Xtreme 250r goes up against the other 250cc-300cc naked bikes in the market including the KTM Duke 250, Suzuki Gixxer 250, Husqvarna Vitpilen 250, Honda CB300R, and the Bajaj Dominar 250.
