Rajiv Bajaj Claim to Sell 4 Million Vehicles in Current Fiscal

The Pune based automaker and third largest two-wheeler manufacturer in India, Bajaj Auto aims to sell more than 4 million vehicles within the current fiscal year (1st October 2013 to 30th September 2014). In an interaction with a television channel on Thursday, Mr. Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director, Bajaj Auto said, “In terms of overall numbers, motorcycles plus three-wheelers, domestic and exports, I would be happy to say that it is going to be in excess of 4 million vehicles". Bajaj is facing a fall in sales figures in the every month of 2013, but now the company recovering, and shown a hike of 3% in the motorcycle sales of September at 3,23,879 units. However, with a fall of 2% in the commercial vehicle sales, the overall hike of the company stood at 2% in September.
The new value for money products in both commuter and performance bike segment helped the company to regain the lost share in the market. The company's new additions to its commuter range are Discover 100T, 125T and 125ST, which all are doing well. A couple of days back, company has launched another bike in the segment named Discover 100M, which filled the gap between Discover 100 4G and 100T.
The most tempting things about the Bajaj bikes are the array of segment above features and a superior fuel economy. If the company wants to achieve the said figure, it has to launch some new products including the automatic scooters as well as in the commercial vehicle segment. However, the company has already announced to launch some crucial products in the upcoming months, which will further help the company to regain its position in the market.
