We analyse the colour options Royal Enfield offers for the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650, along with the differences in their pricing

The pricing of Royal Enfield 650 twins has surely set the hearts of retro enthusiasts aflutter. However, both the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 have different pricing for different colours. The colour schemes for both the motorcycles are pretty eclectic and good-looking too. Let’s analyse them more in detail here.

The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is available in six colour options in India. For convenience sake, let’s take the on-road Delhi price into consideration everywhere. The Interceptor’s price starts from Rs 2.89 lakh for the Orange Crush, Mark Three (black) and Silver Spectre. Slightly more premium colour variants called Baker Express (white & red) and Ravishing Red (red and black) will set you back by Rs 2.97 lakh. They get dual tone colour scheme, which is why they are more expensive than the base colour variants. The range-topping Glitter & Dust (chrome) colour variant commands a price tag of Rs 3.10 lakh. This makes the chrome version Rs 21,000 dearer than the base colour because the coating process for chrome is a lot more tedious and expensive.

The Continental GT 650 on the other hand comes in five colours in our market. The Black Magic and Ventura Blue colour models cost Rs 3.05 lakh while Dr. Mayhem (grey & black) and Ice Queen (white) are priced at Rs 3.13 lakh. The top-of-the-line chrome variant, called “Mister Clean,” costs Rs 3.27 lakh. Of these colours, our choice would be Dr. Mayhem for the Continental GT 650 and Baker Express for the Interceptor 650. In these colour schemes, the two motorcycles feature blacked-out spoke wheels which go really well with the body colour. Specifications for all these colour variants are the same, though.

While the pricing may change depending on the state, Royal Enfield intends to keep the on-road price around Rs 3 lakh throughout the country. Deliveries will commence from the end of this month. The icing on the cake is the fact that the 650 twins come with standard 3 year / 40,000km warranty along with roadside assistance for the same duration as well.
