Autologue Design’s new body kit gives the Continental GT a vintage racer look

  • The kit will consist of a new quarter fairing, a seat cowl and refreshed body panels.
  • The kit will be ready by the end of this month.
  • Expect the entire kit to cost around Rs 20,000.

Autologue Design has announced a ‘Cafe Racer’ design kit for the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650. The highlight of the kit will be a half-fairing which will come with its own mounting brackets and completely engulf the front end of the bike. We also expect the folks at Autologue Design to replace the stock mirrors with bar end units to complete the look.

Apart from the fairing, the kit also consists of a new seat cowl for the optional single seat offered by Royal Enfield. This cowl appears to be longer than the stock unit. One of the renders also showcases a mesh-like design on the centre panel that’s reminiscent of the Triumph Thruxton. Lasty, it also gets small panels sprouting just above the exhaust headers. Apart from these changes, the motorcycle will continue to sport its stock look. We’ve also come to know that Autologue is planning to get it ready by the end of this month for a price of somewhere around Rs 20,000 (or lower).

Royal Enfield launched the Continental GT 650 alongside the Interceptor 650 last year. Since then, both motorcycles have received a positive response both commercially and critically. As per reports, the Chennai-based bikemaker sold over 2,000 units of the 650 twins in the month of May alone.

While both motorcycle share the same engine and underpinnings, the Continental GT 650 is 4kg lighter than its sibling at 198 kg owing to the smaller fuel tank and the lack of a centre stand. Powering the motorcycle is an all-new 648cc, air- and-oil-cooled parallel twin motor which churns out 47PS of power and 52Nm of torque.
