Royal Enfield's Managing Director, Sid Lal, has teased the upcoming Guerrilla 450 for the first time. In his latest Instagram post, Sid Lal is seen riding the Guerrilla 450 through some mountain twisties. Moreover, the CEO of Royal Enfield, Govindarajan Balakrishnan, has also uploaded a picture teasing the Guerrilla 450 on his Instagram.
The upcoming Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 features a round headlight with sleek indicators. It has a muscular fuel tank and a round instrument cluster, which seems to be the same as the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450’s TFT, but with an offset placement. We can also see the radiator, a saree guard and a bash plate. Moreover, the front disc is placed on the left. The Guerrilla 450 is fitted with road-biased tubeless block-pattern tyres at both ends.
Launch date and Price
The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is set to be launched on July 17, 2024 and the launch event will be held in Spain. The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is priced between Rs 2.85 lakh to Rs 2.93 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and we think the Guerrilla 450 will cost around the Rs 2.6 lakh (ex-showroom) mark.
What We Know So Far?
The Upcoming Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is a blend of the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and the Himalayan 450. At the front, the Guerrilla 450 features a triple clamp-mounted round headlight, fork covers and a rounded fuel tank design which resembles the Royal Enfield Hunter 350. That said, the fuel tank has an offset fuel cap, unlike the Hunter 350. At the rear, the sleek tail section with a contoured single-piece seat, slim tail light, indicators and exhaust looks very similar to the Himalayan 450.
The upcoming Guerrilla 450 is based on the Himalayan 450 and shares the same 452cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder Sherpa engine. On the ADV, the Sherpa engine produces 40PS and 40Nm. However, it could be tuned differently to suit the 450cc roadster.
It gets a telescopic fork with gaiters and a monoshock. It is expected to be fitted with 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends. We don’t know the exact specs as of now, but the bike will get disc brakes on both ends, with dual-channel ABS.
The Royal Enfield Guerilla 450 will compete with the Triumph Speed 400, Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, Hero Mavrick 440, Harley-Davidson X440, and the QJ Motor SRC 500.
