Suzuki E-Access: What's Different from the 2025 Access 125?

Suzuki E-Access: What's Different from the 2025 Access 125?

Suzuki Motorcycles India showcased the Access 125 in two different avatars. The manufacturer launched the 2025 Access 125 and unveiled the all-new e-Access at Auto Expo 2025. We compared the electric Access with the petrol-powered Access to find out the differences between the two scooters.

Here’s what’s different on the Suzuki e-Access 

The new Suzuki E-Access sports a more modern and sporty design. Whereas, the new 2025 Suzuki Access 125 has the same silhouette and a similar design as before but comes with a few design tweaks giving it a refreshed look.

Motor & Engine

The Electric Access gets an electric motor that makes 4.1kW (5.5PS) and 15Nm. The Suzuki electric scooter has a top speed of 71kWh. It has a 3.07kWh battery pack that provides a claimed range of 95km. On the other hand, the new Suzuki Access 125 comes with a OBD-2B compliant 125cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 8.4PS and 10.2Nm.

Being an EV, the E-Access takes 6 hours and 42 minutes to fully charge using a portable charger, and takes just 2 hours and 12 minutes to charge, using a fast charger.

Features

The Suzuki E-Access features a TFT instrument console, whereas the Suzuki Access 125 is equipped with an LCD instrument cluster, both with smartphone connectivity and all-LED lighting.

Other features on the E-Access include turn-by-turn navigation, live traffic updates, 3 ride modes (Eco, Ride A and Ride B) and keyless start using a fob key. The petrol-powered Access 125 comes equipped with weather update alerts, a digital wallet, fuel consumption details, and more. The 125cc scooter also has a pass switch, rear brake lock, hazard light switch, an external fuel filler and dual cubby holes at the front apron.

Underpinnings

Both the electric and petrol Access scooters are equipped with a telescopic fork and an offset monoshock. The electric Access has a front disc and a rear drum brake. It has 12-inch alloy wheels on both ends. However, the Access 125 gets optional drum/disc brakes at the front, and a rear drum brake, and is fitted with 12-inch front and 10-inch rear steel/alloy wheels.

Moreover, the E-Access has a 165mm of ground clearance and a 122kg kerb weight, which is 5mm and 16-17kg more respectively than the Access 125 that comes with a 160mm ground clearance and 105-106kg kerb weight.

The Access 125 starts at Rs 81,700, and the E-Access is expected to be launched with a price tag of about Rs 1.20 lakh to Rs 1.40 lakh (both ex-showroom). With both these models, Suzuki will offer a broader range of scooters to choose from, catering to customers from different segments. More importantly, it is high time for Suzuki to enter the competitive electric two-wheeler segment in India, as Honda Motorcycle and Scooters India also entered the segment with the new Activa e: and QC1 at the expo.
